Jim Weiss, award winning storyteller and recording artist will perform original and classic stories on Wednesday June 3 at 2:30 at the Downtown Library and at 7pm at the Mendenhall Valley Library.  Hear an exerpt from his story, “Giggly Biggly and the Invitation”.

Here’s a preview of special programs happening that the Juneau Public Libraries in April.  Be sure to check the library website for the most current program information.  If it’s still showing in your area, get out and see the animated film adaptation of, Coraline, as the creators of the puppets used in the film will be visiting the library for a lecture and workshop at the end of the month.

For those of you wondering what ever happened to the Dan O’Neil reading and the Poetry Omnibus Award Ceremony podcasts, rest easy as these will be available by early next week.  Too much on the kettle lately.

Also, be sure to check out the 20th Anniversary Gala Celebration happening at the downtown library Saturday night.  This event, featuring live music by Tom Locher and the Aurora Strings as well as guest speakers and youth performances.
